Camden High School Marching Band Headed to Washington, D.C.
The Camden High School Marching Panthers and Jazz Band has been selected to compete in the Inauguration Festival held the weekend before Inauguration Day in Washington, D.C. We need your help to make this trip a reality. Your support and donations are greatly appreciated. All donations should be made out to the Camden Board of Education Foundation, c/o Bart Leff, BOE Administration Building, 201 N. Front Street, Camden, NJ 08102. Please help us fulfill this once-in-a-lifetime dream for our students.

Scholastic Offers 5 New Websites for Teachers and Students
Scholastic has developed 5 new websites for teachers and students to use free of charge. These sites provide resources for Language Arts, Science and Web Page Development. Teachers are encouraged to visit the sites listed below to see how they can be incorporated into their lessons:
Write It - Young writers find their voice, develop their craft and publish their work
Scholastic Art & Writing Awards - Recognizes outstanding creative work in 25 genres of visual and written arts. Students can compete for local and national scholarships.
Flashlight Readers - A club for students who love books
Science Explorations - Teaches students to think like Scientists
Class Homepage Builder - Connect and Communicate with home

1st Marking Period Ends - Genesis Will Open for Grade Posting on November 17, 2008
The first marking period will end on Monday, November 17, 2008. Genesis will open on Monday morning and remain open until Friday, November 21, 2008. Please remember that all students are to recieve a grade. There should be no I's or blanks. Only the Physical Education teachers may given an M with proper documentation. Attendance should be entered by every teacher for every student. If you have any questions about entering grades or have problems with your Genesis account, please see Ms. Plasky in M203.

Recycling Trash for Cash - Printer Cartridge Recycling
Help ASPIRA Upward Bound Students Recycle empty printer cartridges. The cartridges must be original manufacturer brands, must have a print head, cannot be damaged, remanufactured or refilled. All proceeds will benefit the ASPIRA Upward Bound Program. Please bring all cartridges to the Guidance Office in the Main Building.

Library Passes
All students must have a library pass to use the Media Center during their lunch period. Students can pick up passes from the Media Center after homeroom each day. No student will be admitted to the library without a pass.

Student Reminders...
1. No Cell phones, ipods, MP3 players, walkmans, etc are to be used in class
2. Homework should be completed every night
3. All students are required to wear the proper uniform
4. CHS doors open daily at 8:00 am - students are expected to be on time for school
5. State law requires that all students dress for physical education
